Should I re-take the ACT?

I have a 32 composite with a 33 superscore and 10 on the essay. If I were to re-take it in October, I feel my score would only shoot up to 33 and wishfully thinking to 34. I am applying to very selective schools, some of which do not have score choice. Should I take the October ACT even if I don't feel my score would improve much? If I decide to take the ACT and do worse than before, do I have to report those scores even if I already sent my transcript in to my counselor? Please help, I'm really confused. I honestly don't want to take it again, but I there's a part of me that's insisting on taking it again since I paid for it and may improve my score.

I was in the same position as you in that I was undecided on whether to take it again after knotting a 32.
I was on the margin for a lot of the schools I am applying to, but after taking it a second time and knotting a 34, I’m solidly in the middle 50 of all of them.
Therefore I STRONGLY recommend retaking even if you have the slightest belief you can do better. If you don’t like the score you get, don’t report it.

It depends. All Ivy league schools plus others like Stanford require all your ACT scores, but ideally if you feel confident then go ahead! :)

Good luck!
