I applied as a transfer student to the school of management. I got accepted, but didnt have all of the pre requisites to be admitted into the school of management. apparently i need to have junior status, and completed certain courses with a B grade. I suck at calculus and i see that I need a B. I'm scared I'll end up going to UB, doing everything i can, and getting a lower than B grade in calculus, thus not getting in to the school of management, thus having to look for another school to transfer to, A SECOND time. anyone have any input?

are you permitted to take Calc over the summer at community college?

im not sure, im taking calc now in school. i got a C+ in pre calc last semester thats why im scared

well, then you may want to reconsider where you transfer to…weren’t you admitted elsewhere directly into business schools?

yes i was admitted to Syracuse university business school, but the price difference from buffalo to syracuse is HUGE. buffalo is a public which is about 8,000. Syracuse will cost me 50,000 a year!

If you go to UB you can take MTH-131 which is Business calc. If you can take it with Javor or Busch, if they teach it. I believe its taught over the summer, and summer classes are much easier than standard semester classes.

yes you can take MTH131 its really easy if you follow along. the instructors are really helpful, i had a friend who took this and he sucked at math, he got C and B- in the first two tests but he got an A- for the course. you need to just find a good instructor and you should be fine !

also you should check what course of CC you can transfer to UB. for courses that under 300-400 levels can be transferred. so i am pretty sure you can take some calc class over the summer and transfer it to UB. you just need to check which one is equivelent to UB’s calc requirement. good luck
