I’m a freshman (obviously) and I’ve been struggling to keep up with my work. I’m taking all honors and AP classes (which is a mistake I made, I will admit) and I’m failing all of them.
Last semester, I got a D- in my AP HuG class, a C in Honors English, a B+ in Honors Geometry, and an A in Honors Chem. Right now, I’m failing all of these classes.
I missed a lot of class this semester because of my mental health, but my parents have no idea. I had switched the contact number to my number and every time I ditched, I would call myself in. I got 2 detentions because I didn’t originally call myself in. My parents don’t know about any of this.
Right now, I’m attending a public school that I don’t really enjoy (I’m basically being bullied because I’m from a different school district, but no one would believe me if I told them that was the reason).
This summer, I’m going to Indonesia to attend school there simply because my parents want me to experience what it’s like.
Next school year, I’ll be going to a Christian boarding school that my sister attended. My sister’s now in college, and is graduating 3 semesters earlier than she originally planned.
My parents want me to have all A’s (like that’s gonna happen) and a GPA over 3.75, because that’s what my sister’s was.
I don’t want to disappoint my parents by being the child that took longer to finish school, but I also don’t want my mental health to have an effect on my grades.
So should I repeat 9th grade, or should I keep going?
It is better to get yourself organized now then to grag itout

Tommorrow, go talk to your Guidance Counselor abotu what is going on. See if they can help you with teh bullying, workign with teachers to help you catch up.
Tell your parents immediately what is happening and n your life, there is lots of difficult stuff that you must work on and they need to help. Without information, they may be setting unrealistic information. If your parents aren’t concerned and helpful, you need to know that and find an alternative way to problem resolution. Do you have mental health problems. It think about signs, problems, and frequency. You need to know what happens, when, what’s going on then, duration, day you turn your behavior around deliberately, how do you get relief. Mental health problems is too generic a term to explain and resolve those problems. Dude your parents make comments about your behavior and whether it has changed.
Talk to your guidance counselor about repeating 9th grade. Perhaps grades will remain on your transcript, perhaps poor grades can be replaced when a class is taken again. You need to speak to the counselor and rules applying to high school students. How will summer school in Indonesia become part of your educational record? Will you go alone? Have you ever been there before? What language demands, if any, would you find in Indonesia? Seems like you have logistical issues in addition to academic, social, and mental health problems. I hope concrete information will provide respite from your problems. Knowing actual requirements should help you confront and deal with factual problems as separate from social, familial and personal concerns. How you life improves for you.
