Should I rescore AP World?

I'm in need of some advice here. I took the AP World History exam, and walked out of the test confident that I would get a high 4 or a 5. A few days ago, I received my score report in the mail, and I got a 3.

Now, here's the thing. I have gone and looked over the essay topics, and I have come to the following conclusion on my estimated scores:
DBQ: 7-9
CCOT: 6-9
C&C:3-6
I looked over the score rubrics, and remembered an outline of my 3 essays, and compared those to the topics again. That is how I came up with those numbers.

Now, on average on practice MCs I scored between 58ish% to about 65%. Now, I felt that I scored about 55-65% on this MC (at worst a 55%, estimated 60%, high 65%).

Now, putting my worst case scenario into AP pass, which gives you an estimate of your score, of both FRQ (7,6, and 3) and MC (55%) puts me in the incredibly high 3 (as in about 1 MC question away) to the low 4 range.

So, possibility 1, worst case scenario happened, and I got an incredibly high 3

OR possibility 2:

My MC or FRQ were not added together properly. Now, I don't believe that my FRQ went missing, as I would not have gotten a 3 off of only MC, but I believe that there may have been a machine error on my MC.

Plugging in what I believe are my most likely FRQ scores into AP Pass with a zero on the MC gives me a very low 3. Those scores are 9, 6, and 5. (Before you tell me that those are too high, I felt completely confident in all 3 of my essays. I had very little doubt in any of them)

So, there are 2 possibilities here:
1) I had a worst case scenario test and got a high 3
or
2) The grading machine messed up my MC and I got a very low 3 off of only FRQ

Now, knowing that these are the two scenarios that I believe could have happened, would you or would you not suggest getting a rescore.

Thanks,
Mathadawg

I wouldn’t. But then again, I’m most likely going to a state school- which gives out just as much credit for a 3 than a 5.

Look at your prospective colleges’ policies. If you get less or no credit for a 3, go ahead and rescore. If you get the same amount of credit either way, don’t waste your money.

Unfortunately, I doubt there was a mistake in your score. I wouldn’t rescore, maybe the curve was a little harsher this year so the cutoff was a little higher for a 4.
