Should I retake a course to help my GPA for jobs?

To make a long story short, I was suppose to graduate in September 2012 but I could not due to an incomplete grade. But there was a course I took in Summer 2012 that I did not pass. I calculated my overall GPA (I went to different colleges) and it is now a 2.96. If I retake the course, my college has a replacement grade where my overall GPA turns to a 3.03. The only reason I wanted to retake the class because I wanted to have at least a 3.0 to apply for jobs.

I am looking to apply for jobs for television production. Usually applicants have a 3.0. I am looking into such television production companies as NBC Universal, HBO etc.

Yes.

Raising your GPA a few tenths or hundredths of a point usually isn’t a big deal, but a lot of places won’t consider your application at all unless you have a 3.0.

I would definitely say retake the course.
