Should I retake ACT or take the SAT the third time?

So, I have taken the SAT I test two times already, and my highest combined subscores is a 1780.

I'm planning on taking it again and receiving a huge boost in scores because I did not really study or review at all between the two times I have taken it, and I have been reviewing/doing practice tests most of the summer for the October test.

I took the ACT in April and got a 24. Should I retake it again in September? Or should I just focus on boosting the SAT score for the third time and not even worry about boosting the ACT score/or sending them to colleges?

Let me know, thanks.

Just focus on boosting your SAT score.

Do what you can handle. Obviously, you shouldnt compromise your grades for high SAT/ACT scores. But if you can maintain the grades you earn now AND study for both tests, go for it. However, don't take both tests in the same month if possible. Study for one at a time.

Thanks for the advice.

I think I should just maybe focus on the SAT. Because if I can boost that score up a lot, there is really no point in sending in the ACT right?

Because colleges just look at the ACT as an option instead of the SAT, right?

I also heard that ACT's make up two subjects tests. Is that true?

If your state offers the ACT in Sept, definitely take it! Then you could be done with the SATs if you did well enough! When were you planning on taking the SATs? How are you as an applicant otherwise?

ACTs replace subject tests in SOME schools, but it's very impt for you to check the websites of the schools you're applying to see their exact requirements.
