So I took the SAT for the second time in November and an 1880 is what I got super scored, however my math was a 540. So I contacted my reach schools,Barnard and Vassar,to see if they accept January scores and they do. So I’ve asked my peers and half say my score is good and I should relax, whereas the other half(including my school college counselor) say yeah take it again. So I’m a little conflicted.what do you think? Oh yeah I’m a HS senior.
I would take it again. You have nothing to lose except the cost of taking the test.
Okay. Thanks a bunch
Yes. Retake.
Thank you!
Not that I should be talking (530 on my first SAT math, yikes!), but you should definitely retake with some substantial studying between now and then, as I know 1880 pretty far out of Barnard’s parameters. Not to give advice where it’s not wanted, but apparently PWN is a great book for the math SAT (just ordered on Amazon!). Also, have you tried the ACT yet? I’ve heard it’s much better for less math-centric students.
Not to be that CCer, but could you possibly chance me for Barnard? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1834047-chance-me-for-barnard-and-chances-are-ill-reciprocate.html#latest
Thank you so much. I’ll try to chance you to the best of my ability, but I’m as clueless about the whole process as you. So, please take WHATEVER I say with a teensie weensie grain of salt.
Yes please give it again. you can easily improve on that score.
i went from a 1890 to a 2180. retake it.
Awesomesauce! Thanks for the encouragement and advice.
I went from 1880 to a 2060. It’s really within reach, don’t miss that last chance
Thanks for the encouragement. I think I’m going to take it again.
