I’m look at the UMD College Park, UC Davis, and Cal Poly SLO for animal science. As a reach I’m also planning to apply to Cornell. So I have two questions, which score is better my SAT or my ACT? and should I retake one of them or am I good where I am?
@sume18 Hey! I’m currently a junior as well. However, I’m taking the ACT. My composite was a 29. Unfortunately, the schools I want to go to have very high ACT averages, so I’ll have to retake it for sure . As for your scores, I believe they are actually quite similar to one another. However, I wouldn’t rely on me. You can Google a SAT/ACT score conversion chart. In my honest opinion, I would retake one if not both of those tests. You’d probably want to do this not because your scores are bad, but because it can’t hurt. I’m not very familiar with those schools, but I do know that Cornell is certainly tough to get into. If your GPA is particularly low, a high standardized test can possibly save you and vise versa. @ me back if you have any questions!
