Should I retake the ACT?

I just received my ACT scores and my composite unfortunately did not change. I received a 28 on both tries. I'm happy I did not go down, but disappointed I didn't go up.
My current top choice is UT Austin, and I qualify for both automatic admission and a tuition waiver at the school, so I will most likely go there. My other choices superscore the ACT, and with my superscore, 30, I would be above the average score.
So should I retake the ACT again, or should I just leave it alone?
Thank you!

What other schools are you considering?

Hendrix College
Ursinus College
NYU
Emerson College
McDaniel College
UNT (This is my worst case scenario school)
Possibly Rhodes College

I really wouldn’t bother retaking it… It’s hardly necessary, though I suppose it might help you a bit at NYU and Rhodes. You’d still have a decent shot at both schools with a 30 (assuming they superscore).

Alright, thank you very much for your advice. I’m leaning towards letting the score be.

Were you constantly checking the glitch to see your scores?

You know it.

Crap… Anything you could tell me to help? Google chrome? Use the website?

I used the Early ACT Score Checker on my iPad. I first logged in, copied the link address for the July score, and opened the Checker. I pasted the link in the bar, and it finally came up. If it isn’t working, I would give it an hour or two. Don’t worry, it’ll definitely be up today.

I used Safari to open it.

Bump. Can I get more opinions please?

How are you getting a tuition waiver to UT?

I’m partially deaf.

NYU does not superscore. And their average is a 29-32. So a 28 is below the curve. So unless you are exceptional in other spots you aren’t that competitive

I would say take it again. It doesn’t really hurt and with a bit more practice it is definitely possible. Especially do it for NYU and Rhodes.
