Should I retake?

I have 2320 (780 CR, 790 M, 750 W)

My dream schools: Princeton, Harvard, Yale... Also applying for Stanford.
I am Canadian, BTW

My parents (who know nothing about applications) think I should retake, but I'm not sure I will actually score better. I have only taken the SAT once (but I took 3 sessions of SATiis (8 tests)). Will it make a difference if I took it again and scored slightly higher? Or does it look better as-is since I only took it once?

Once you get past 2300 does 10-20 points make a difference? I doubt I'd get a perfect 2400, best case would be 2360-ish.

Should I spend time to study for and retake the SAT or should I use that time for improving my grades/essays and applying for scholarships?

Other info: I'm in IB, and I'm predicted at 40/45
My school does not rank, Canadian (Ontario) GPA doesn't work the same as US. With our system I've got 94.3% if applying to sciences.
Race/ethnicity: Asian (Chinese)
ECs: Ok, but not great

If I were u then i wouldn’t retake, I mean u said ur EC’s aren’t good so work on that may be?

Also u could score lower.

Ok thanks :)

I wonder what I should tell my parents :P

Any other opinions/suggestions on how I should convince my parents?

Wanna retake and give me that “bad” score ;)

HYPS rejects people with high SATs all the time - work on those ECs and unique qualities! Tell your parents that you are in near the top percentiles for SAT scores and retaking is not needed. Tell your parents that if you don’t get into a school, it won’t be because your SAT was too low.

Alright, thank you all very much :)

i agree with everyone else- even if you did better, retaking a score over 2300 isn’t worth your time. work on other aspects of your application and feel good that you did well enough to not have to retake :)
