That's just ridiculous. I can understand retaking a 2200+ if you feel that that wasn't your true capability, but 2350? No way. Colleges are not really going to differentiate between the kid with 2400 and the 23-odds, because both display capability, and a 2300 could easily be a 2400 on an off day. You'll be granted a lot of recognition for your score, but retaking it would be a bad idea, and would portray you as just a bit too score-obsessed to be sensible.

it's funny how the OP hasn't posted a single time...and didn't try to defend his point of view.

If you think you can do better, retake it. It won't affect your applications at all but at least you'll feel better after you get a higher score.

50 points can make or break you .

but because you are in the upper elites .. i suggest you not .

there is a difference between a 1850 and 1900 .

Same problem here. Don't know if i should retake a 2320. :(

^ that could become a 2350. but there's no need to raise a 2350.

I have a 2320, which I don't want to retake -- it's 800/770/750, and therefore gives the impression that I could easily have a 2400 with just a couple more correct questions. (1 wrong in Math was 770 -- that curve was evil.)

800/800/720, though? I might retake that, especially if the 720 was in Math (which would be the most important for my intended major). All really comes down to what the score breakup was, and whether or not you're comfortable with it -- personally, I think anything > 750 on a section is enough to be competitive just about everywhere, and MIT (as an example) explicitly states that 750 and 800 won't be very significantly differentiated between.
