Should I self-study APUSH and AP Psych junior year?

This is what my schedule looks like next year:
AP BC Calc
AP Lang
AP Chem
Honors US History
French III
Theory of Knowledge / Thesis
Focus
I also have to self study for science olympiad, science bowl, and academic bowl, and prepare for speech tournaments. On top of all this, would it be too much to self study AP psych and APUSH? I’ve heard AP psych is relatively easy to self study for, and I want to take the class but I don’t think I’ll be able to fit it into my schedule senior year. Most colleges seem to accept APUSH, so I want to try to get credit for it. I’m going to be a science major so it would be nice if I didn’t have to take any history classes when I get to college.

Can’t you just take AP USH instead of Honors USH? That would be the first best option. If that does not work, it’s probably not that much effort to fill in the gaps to take the APUSH exam.

AP Psych is extremely easy to self-study; I did it the weekend before the exa,. Whether you want to do that with everything else you have going on is a personal choice.

Depending upon the college you might have to anyway. Some colleges do not count AP credits to gen ed requirements.

Yeah, I’d take APUSH if I were you. I’m not really sure what US History Honors covers but the APUSH test is notoriously one of the more difficult AP History tests, and I know that last year when I took the course I spent a good 2-8 hours on the weekend studying. However, if you for some reason can’t take APUSH then maybe try US History Honors and supplement for the AP test.

Thanks for the advice! I’m self studying AP psych for sure, but I’m realizing APUSH would probably be too much to self study on top of my extracurriculars. Who knows though, maybe I’ll find some extra time.
