I recently took the Math 2 and French Subject Tests. I got an 800 on French, so I’m definitely sending that, but is it worth sending the Math 2, on which I got a 680? Most of my colleges “recommend two subject tests” but they aren’t required. Is it worth sending the Math 2 just to have sent two, or should I just send the French?
Stanford doesn’t allow score choice. I think you are stuck sending it.
@intparent Actually, no. Stanford does not require all SAT Subject Tests, although they do require all SAT and/or ACT scores.
Anyway, for the OP: IMO, if you only submits one Subject Test, you will be at a disadvantage. However, if you submits 2 Subject Tests, where one is a 680, you will also be at a disadvantage. Which is more of a disadvantage? Well, that’s the $69,109 question.
Stanford, like many of its peers, will evaluate the application holistically. Subject Test scores are but one part of the application.
Okay, thanks. It has been a few years since we sent scores – I Googled, and it looked like score choice covered both regular & subject tests, but it wasn’t absolutely clear.
A 680 on Math II is 40th percentile. I’d take my chances without it.
