Should I send a Letter about wanting to attend?

I got deferred, so do you think a letter of interest would help my chances?

My Counselor already called the person in charge of the admission and told him/her about my interest.. Do you think a letter is still necessary? I kinda want to get in :)

Thxs..

Doubtful, but it couldn't hurt. When they defer you, I'm going to assume that they actually want to see if you're qualified to join their campus. While an interest does help, solid grades would help more.

It is not necessary. I dont know if it will make much of a difference.

However in College Confidentials articles to deferred students , they say that one of things which we could do is send a letter reiterating your interest. It couldn't hurt your chances. Go for it.

I would say yes, and if you have done anything (EC's, study abroad programs etc.) this year that didn't go on your app, sending the updates would definitely help. I sent a letter of interest along with my updates, and I'm hoping it'll give me the boost I need. Good luck!
