Should I send an ACT score of 28?

I took the ACT for the first time in September with no prep whatsoever. I will not be taking it again. I got a 28, which I guess isn't terrible. However, my sub-scores are not balanced at all

Reading - 32
English - 32
Math - 23
Science - 24
Combined E/W- 30 (9 essay)

I want to major in business. I am looking at schools like Penn State, UMaryland, Boston U, Syracuse, etc. Would it hurt me to send my scores? Should I only send them to certain schools?

Send them to any schools that require them. If they’re not required, don’t send them.

28 is perfectly respectable. For a business major though, the math score could be better. Any particular reason you couldn’t test again? Or maybe try the SAT (it doesn’t include science)?

27 here!

My scores were also all over the place. 36 in English, 20 in Math. Can you believe it? I plan on sending SAT, my Math scores were loads higher, and almost as high as my Reading/English scores.

irishrabbit - Really I’m just not testing again because I don’t have time. I’m applying ED/EA, and took the SATs again in Oct and will be doing it one last time in Nov.

JEquestrian - wow! congratulations on the 36. I will probably do the same as you and send my SATs, they are much more balanced
