<p>I am currently applying for NYU EDII for the math department.
I already sent my first SAT score, 1990, Math800+CR540+WR650
My second SAT score is really bad, 1920, Math 740+CR520+WR660
One thing my second SAT score can do is to fix my first score to 2000
But the Math 740 is really bad for a math dept student
So, should I send my second score?
Would SAT scores of 1990 and 2000 differ very much?
Would a Math 740 hurt me a lot?</p>

<p>Send it! NYU states that they use scores to help you. D works in admissions at a top 50 uni. and her admission reps talk about this all the time - how many calls they have to field from parents and students. The colleges WANT to find reasons to admit you. You will most likely be scored 800/540/660 = 2000. At her uni they just go down the list and circle the highest number in each category. A 740 is NOT a bad score for a math major and they will only focus on your 800 anyway.</p>
<p>I doubt you can get into stern with a 2000… I’m hoping I get in with my 2190 lol.</p>

<p>Also remember, the SAT range for NYU is 1950-2230 - which means that a good SAT score is 2000+. However, there is no statistical difference between 1990 and 2000. </p>
<p>And your SAT Math was an 800 the first time you took it. No point in sending the second SAT.</p>
<p>I know I am not good enough for Stern, and my academic interest is Mathematics</p>
