Should I send these AP scores in?

I am in the IB program, so AP tests are not that big of a focus. However, I have taken 4 AP tests, 3 in junior year, and 1 in sophmore year. I wanted to know if I should send in these scores to help in my admission to ivy league schools (specifically Harvard, Yale, Penn, Columbia) and other top schools (MIT, Duke, etc.)

World History: 5
English Language: 4
Physics C (Mechanics): 5
Calculus AB: 5

btw, I got a 1540 on old SAT, and 800, 800, 790, 770 on my 4 SAT II's.

Definitely. You can't get better than 5's - so they can only help, not hurt.

just self-report them on the application

send them in!!

why wouldn't you send them in???

If you mean to send in, as in send an official grade report, then no, there's no need to send one.
If you mean to send in, as in self-report then on your application, then definately.

Even if you got all 3's, colleges would rather see some score rather than no score. I'm serious! A college implied to one of its applicants (a friend of mine) that he was shirking for not submitting his scores.

What are you trying to prove? that your better than us? what kind of stupid question is that, you got 3 5's and 1 4....what kind of score would u want to send if these weren't it. People like you, tick me off.

Do schools verify a self-report of an AP score? It seems that an unofficial score presented by an applicant could easily be a lie...

There really is no way to verify a self-reported AP score since you're not sending in official score reports. Colleges know that students will omit their not-so-great AP scores, but making up scores can come back to hurt you since your admissions to the college can be revoked at any time (if, for example, you send in your scores for AP credit and instead of all 5's, you have all 1's).

Edit: Some schools add AP scores to your transcript, so I guess they could be checked against that.

don't send those scores in man it would be a seriously bad idea

colleges will think you are a poof of a person and dont do anything other than tests

Sean11 is right. You're doing ths to just brag.

Since you already went to IB and got those scores with AP, you're obviously a bright individual. Just a bit socially inept at bragging. Either that or you have the ego the size of the sun.

You also randomly managed to put your SAT scores in there. That's always queer too.

you could easily lie if you self report your AP scores. but colleges trust you since you're required to signan honor signature at the end of the application.

plus, they'll see your report if you get in. and if the scores don't match up (and they actually check that kind of stuff), there could be penalties.

Don't send them in. That one four would destroy your chances at any college and those mediocre 5s won't exactly help either...

If you wanna use these AP credits for your college, you can either send them in or self-report them, but don't lie.

If I were you I would send in all the scores (well, they include both science and humanity courses). And, I never heard an admission officer saying she doesn't like AP scores. So just send it. You can do more this year. And things like the total of 7-8 APs/IBs or more are beautiful on your app, esp. if you have some meaningful activities (that way you'll really look like an ivy prospective).
