Should I send my AP scores ? PLEASE HELP

Hey, our school doesn't offer AP courses but I've taken 2 exams by doing some self-studying.
I got a 3 from Comp.Government and a 4 from World History.

Should I send the scores to Brown or are those considered to be low?

I think they ask on the college app for any AP scores. Also - it might be on your high school transcript if you put your high school down to receive the scores…so Brown might know anyways.

If you want college to know AP scores for admission purposes you simply self-report on app or in essay or possibly simply send a photocopy of your test scores with a letter to the college’s admission office asking they be included in your file. You don’t need to send (and pay for) offcial reports until after you are admitted and want credit. As to your scores, a 3 at Brown would probably be “underwhelming” but 4 might help a little.

I think you should send them, along with a letter stating that your school does not offer the classes, so you self-studied to challenge yourself. That would impress the hell out of me. You are displaying the kind of initiative, drive and risk-taking that admissions officer want to see on their respective campuses.

Thanks for the advice !

I am really glad I don’t have to send the scores via college board, because making an international call to the states would cost a fortune !
