Should I skip the AP Chemistry Exam?

I am currently enrolled in AP chemistry, and I pass the class with decent scores, however, I am very stressed about the AP Chemistry exam in May. I am debating just not taking the AP chemistry exam, will this harm me? I want to major in English after high school, so I need to focus more on doing well in English related classes. Any advice will be appreciated, thanks in advance

If you do bad on the AP exam, you can just choose to not report the result on your college apps. At least, I believe that is the policy for most schools. If you have colleges that you’re particularity worried about, I’d research their policies.

I’d take it, unless paying for the test is a problem.

No, paying isn’t the issue. I am taking 2 other AP exams, along with the ACT around the same time of these exams, and I will have family visiting during the month of May, so the circumstances are just not ideal and AP chemistry consumes the majority of my study time, and adds a lot of stress, so I decided maybe it’s best if I just do not take the exam. My school has a partnership with a college which allows us to purchase college credits for the classes we are taking, if we maintain a certain average in that class.

if you can get college credits for that AP chem, then don’t take the AP exam if you are doing English as your major. Are you maintaining that certain average?
