I'm currently in AP Chrmistry right now and I am really struggling, because I had no previous background in chemistry. Although i should be failing my graceful teacher has given me a B. So, I'm debating whether or not I should take the AP test in May. I feel like it would be a waste of $87 and I was wondering if it would hurt to just not take it? And maybe take it next year... Will there be any negative concequences to this?

Depends on if you want credit for Chemistry. If it’s relevant to your major, try it if you’re confident. If not, don’t.

Chem is the only exam I failed. Take some practice tests. If you score >70% take the exam.

But it won’t hurt you to not take it if you know you’ll fail. You will just have to take a Chem course in college.

Honestly, I think it would look worse to take the test and do poorly than to take the class and not take the test. AP Chem is one of the hardest AP exams, if you are not doing well in the class I wouldn’t advise taking the test.

Okay, but my school is forcing us to take the AP tests by ordering the tests and making us pay for it later… Omg

Where can I find practice tests?

luv2sk8: You can find plenty of AP review books that will have 1-3 practice tests in them as well as outlines for every section. You should also be able to find one at the back of your text book too.
