I took both the SAT and ACT twice and here are my scores:

SAT: 1940
CR- 720
W- 630
M- 580

ACT:
1st time- 27
2nd time- 28 (also, not much time in between the two tests and little prep)

I'm wondering whether it's worth trying to prepare for both. I want to bring my ACT up to at least a 30 and my SAT up to a 2050+
I'd like to do both of those things and I still have time to prep, but I guess I'm kind of wondering which one of those scores would be easier to bring up to my target scores. I'm definately taking the SAT again, but is a 30+ feasible considering I'm preparing for two different tests (not that some skilled don't apply to both). Science and Math are my weakest sections by far and writing could use a little improvement too because I want it to make up for a poor math or science score. Reading I'm fine with.

I'd also like to get an idea how good of a score a 28 is considered to be. I know it's above average and above the 90th percentile, but what good east coast schools could it qualify me for? I've been on collegeboard and looked at the middle 50% but I'd just like to get some input from people.
