Took the ACT & SAT first time as a junior, I now have both scores back. Advice please?

I just got my scores for my ACT today. Here are my scores for both my tests first time:

SAT: 1780
R: 590
M: 620
W: 570

ACT: 30
E: 26
M: 28 (I had to guess the last 5 because I ran out of time. Should be an easy fix.)
R: 33
S: 33
W:N/A yet

I’m pretty disappointed in my SAT score especially. However, I realize I have time and would like to know what you think my best plan of action is. Should I focus on ACT or should I keep taking both to raise them, etc.

Thank you for any advice.

30 act = 1980-2010, should be an easy choice

Forget the SAT.

So I should just not take the SAT anymore?

1780? Jesus Christ what kind of education did you get?

Yes- just focus on ACT

Indeed, you should not invest one minute of time on SAT prep ever again.

ACT clearly suits you much better and it looks like there is room for improvement. Good luck!

I agree. Only focus on the ACT. We researched this issue with my daughter and across the board found that you should focus on the one that you performed best.

Agree with above posters, focus on the ACT.

The tests have different things about them that sometimes make one “easier” than the other for some people. You should go with the one that seems to be “easier” for you, or at least is a better fit for your testing style.

30 is great! Good luck!
