In May, I took the Math 2 and got 740. Apparently that's around the 62nd percentile. I also got 800 in Biology.

I'm applying to schools like Stanford, UC Berkeley, and UCLA. I'm for sure submitting the Biology score, but is submitting just one enough? It doesn't say that it is mandatory. Or would if be better to submit the 740, even though it's not the best? I don't have time to re-do it.

We recommend (but do not require) that you submit official results of at least two SAT Subject Tests, as these additional scores often assist us in our evaluation process. You are welcome to submit any and all SAT Subject Tests you have completed. We do not have a preference for the specific SAT Subject Tests you elect to take. However, if you elect to take a math test, we do prefer to see the Math Level 2 test if you feel that your math background has adequately prepared you for this test.

So would it be better to submit a simply OK score or not send it at all?

Yes you should submit the score – it is totally respectable. The people who take the Math 2 are self-selected very strong math students thus making the percentile-rank essentially meaningless.

Thanks, WellHello. I hope that the Stanford admissions office knows that too.
