Should I submit all SAT Scores

In January SATs, I got a 2210:
740 reading, 770 math, 710 writing.

In June, I got a 2320:
720 reading, 800 math, 800 writing

Would it be better to submit both to get the extra 20 points on reading, or would that show a weakness in my first set of scores?
In other words, would it look bad to show a 770 to 800 and 710 to 800 improvement? Would it be important to get those extra 20 points in reading to bring it up from 2320 to 2340?

Since Harvard accepts Score Choice, I am wondering whether to send both or just June.

If you are in a similar situation, please comment!

Why would an improvement be looked at poorly? Also, Harvard has always been a proponent of taking your best score from each area regardless of whether they are the result of the same sitting. As to your final question, 20 points are considerably marginal.

D had a similar situation with the ACT. She took it twice and got a 33 (E32, M34, R32, S35) and 35 (E34, M36, R36, S33). Even before score choice, the ACT allowed you to report only the tests you like. We debated whether she should send both only because her science was better with the 33 composite. We concluded that she would send both. It was only two attempts, neither was a score she would not want seen, and it showed the better science (her intended concentration) score. With the ACT we even had to pay extra to send both. The decision did not seem to hurt her.

all scores are submitted when you authorize collegeboard to send your scores. You cannot pick and choose which SAT scores to send. Colleges will take the composite (best scores) among the categories.

^ That is no longer the case with score choice.

PS For reference, Yale does not accept score choice and Harvard does.

Admissions officers should know that the science section does not test science knowledge, but the ability to read data and connect ideas together.

@NJDS - 20pts isn’t a big difference, but sending both wouldn’t hurt.

^

Wouldn’t that still be valuable info to provide?

smoda61 thanks for the info. good to know for my sophomore (high school) dtr. It can be very stressful.
