Ive heard from people the AP chemistry teacher is bad but i really do not want to give up that class and i want to further study chemistry in college. I was thinking of dropping this class and instead taking just either physics or AP psych. My honors chem. grade was a 95 and the teacher recommended me to take it she said i would be fine but i dont believe that because the teacher is horrible. I was thinking over the summer to study chemistry with a barrons book or a Princeton review book ? Is my plan good or should I just drop AP chemistry for an easier class such as AP PSYCH or physics
Take what you can handle and remember that senioritis does exist. AP Physics can be much harder than AP Chemistry. Choose classes that you wouldn’t mind doing work for senior year. Between AP Physics and AP Chemistry, it really depends on what interests you more or your perspective Field of study in college.
not ap physics just honors physics
thank you for the help i will ask my counslers and teachers once more and see whats best
What do you plan to major in? If it is a STEM major then I would take at least one AP Science. Maybe drop AP Euro. If you are going to major in English/History, then keep AP Euro and drop AP Chem.
I would suggest taking classes in alignment with your future goals. Do you have specific schools and a particular major in mind? And concerning chemistry, I would try to find out why the AP chem teacher is considered bad. Being a hard grader is one thing, but if he/she doesn’t cover the material well, then I would consider taking the honors physics. If you are planning on going STEM, I would want to have some physics knowledge going into college.
i cannot drop ap euro by itself i would drop AP english but both of those classes are paired and i just wanted to take euro not lit but we have to take both
