Should I take a credit recovery course to cover credits for subjects I don't like in school?

I know its a crazy idea, but my schedule is full and I want to do more AP courses. I like math and science but I am not really interested in english orn world history. The problem is that I need to pass the regents(NY state standardized tests) and I need to have 4 credits of both english and history to graduate. So I was thinking maybe I could do a credit recovery program and do these subjects online by myself so I get to do more fun classes in school. Do colleges look down upon these courses? Is it a good idea?

Top colleges want to see that you can handle college-level English and history classes. Taking recovery classes wouldn’t do you any favors imo.
