Should I take A.P. Stat? A.P. World?

Hello…

So next year is my senior year. I will be taking AP Multivariable Calculus BC and AP Physics C: E & M, for sure. I’m signed up for AP Stat, but I’m worried that it’s too many math classes (physics C is heavy math). I honestly don’t like math…but at the same time I don’t really like any subject. I’m concerned that I will have too many numbers in my head and that I’ll regret taking stat. Is stat heavy on numbers? Or is it mostly conceptual and writing? Basically…is it a traditional math class? If I don’t like math, might I still like AP Stat?

My other option is AP World. I’m already signed up for AP Euro, so I’m worried I will be swamped with textbook reading (which i LOATHE). I’m also aware that AP World is considered an especially hard AP. Will AP World and AP Euro overlap in the beginning a lot? That would be good for me because I’ll be a senior.

Thank you!

No reason to take World and Euro at the same time. I’d keep Stats–it’s not hard math.

AP stats, for some reason, doesn’t seem like regular math, you know? I’m not good at math either… I got through Pre-cal last year with a C! But Stats I understand a lot better… I don’t think its a traditional math class, and it’s the first math I kind of liked! But there are quite a few equations and stuff that use Greek letters, so If you have a hard time keeping those straight, maybe skip it?

I’ve taken AP World too… It wasn’t all that hard, but that might be because I like history, i dunno…

hopefully I answered your questions! I’m open to more questions if you want

Going from your prompt, I’d say neither. I wholeheartedly agree that AP Stats would be too much math (taking AP Cal AB and Physics C this year), and that AP World plus AP Euro would involve a ton of reading. Maybe it’d be best to just not have one of the two classes, for the sake of sleep and less stress? If you’re determined to take one of the two, I’d suggest choosing the one you actually think you might enjoy more, even though you say you don’t really like any subject. The more passionate you are about the subject, the easier it’ll be to work through it

If you don’t like math, you should not try to take so many math-based classes. To be honest, a lot of colleges do not even look at whether or not you are taking an honors, AP, or standard class. It is great you are taking AP Calc. AB already. That is tough. Then with Physics C, a calculus-based class, that’s practically 2 math classes. If you are not a math person, that is really enough. Maybe a little too much. My math teacher informed me that AP Statistics or more reading and applying than anything, but I think it might be a wee bit too much. AP Euro and AP World is a ton of reading and you might not have time for that much. I think, just in my opinion, you should pick one or the other. AP Euro will be more in depth but AP World will cover a lot more information and…well, world. Hope this helps

Neither.
If you don’t like Math and are already taking Calc + Physics C, Stats woud be redundant.
as for AP Euro, it starts in the 1500s, ie., where you’ll be in AP World around January, and they don’t cover the same areas. So, not much overlap at all
What’s your current schedule?
Do you have one each of English, Math (yes), Science (yes), Social Science (yes), and Foreign Language, plus electives?

I would not take Euro and World at the same time! Not only did it involve hours of reading, you also have to write essays. Anyways, one math AP and physics and one social science is plenty. Then take an English class and foreign language.
