I kinda want to take AP Chemistry next year since I liked Chemistry Honors and AP Biology, but I’m really intimidated by the math. I’m not awful at math, but I’m also not the best. I am willing to learn and work hard in the course though. Are my worries about taking this course justified or am I overthinking this?
Algebra 2 is listed as a pre-req of AP Chem.
I think you are over thinking this.
You’re overthinking this.
If you did well in Honors Chem, then the math for AP probably won’t be too hard.
I am in AP Chem right now and most of the math is pretty basic algebra. The “hardest” math we have had to use is the quadratic formula and knowing how exponents and logarithms work. If you can do these things, I’m sure you will be fine
