Im trying to decide should I take AP classes for my senior year( I haven’t taken any before ) but I read colleges doesn’t care about AP classes taken during senior year so should I forget the idea and focus on sonething else?
Colleges can’t consider your AP scores from senior year classes because you don’t sit for the test until May. They do care about the academic rigor of your senior year schedule, though.
If you can take AP classes and are willing to study hard to get a good score on the AP exams, then definitely take them! Getting good scores on AP tests will allow you to skip some classes in college, which will create more space in your college schedule and also save you $$$. For example, getting a good score on the AP Literature test will probably allow you to skip an english class in college. Or doing good on the AP Statistics test will allow you to skip Statistics in college.
Of course, some colleges might make you take the class in college even if you got a good score on the AP exam. They might do this because they want you to have the same foundation of a subject as other students taking the class. If this happens, your AP credit will probably go towards an elective class, which is still good because then thats 1 less elective class to take in college.
I’m not sure who told you that colleges don’t care about AP classes during senior year, but that’s not true at all. I only took 1 AP class and wish I took more so I would be a little ahead in my classes at college. I wouldn’t worry about this being your first AP class. It’s better to have taken 1 than none in my opinion.
Just be careful with how many AP classes you take all at once. You don’t want to overwhelm yourself during your senior year when you also have to worry about completing college applications. Take as many as you’re comfortable with and remember to also have fun senior year, because it’s your last year before college!! Good luck 
Also, AroundHere is right about how you don’t actually take the AP tests until May. This means that colleges can’t consider your AP score when deciding to accept you into the college or not, since you would have already applied to colleges months ago. HOWEVER, they will like to see that you’re taking an AP class and challenging yourself when viewing your high school transcript. ALSO, if you do get a good score on the AP test in May, you can send that score to the college you’re going to be attending and they’ll let you skip a class.

For any future lurkers: HSLDA online academy (pretty affordable), Memoria Press Online Academy, PA Homeschoolers (top rated), or Laurel Springs Online School. I have taken classes at HSLDA and Memoria Press and highly recommend them. I’m currently taking APUSH at PA Homeschoolers and AP Latin with Memoria Press.
