Hey guys, so I’m currently a rising junior and I’m having trouble deciding whether or not I should take AP Lit in 12th grade. I personally do not feel strongly about English, as it is it the only class I have a B in and I honestly don’t like the subject. I am already taking 7 other AP courses throughout my high school career: AP World History, AP US history, AP Lang, AP Human Geography, AP Government and Politics-Comparitive, AP Economics, and AP French Language. Since I am not taking any AP Science or Math, i have heard suggestions about taking AP english courses. I have the choice between AP Lit and Dual Enrollment English, which would give me 6 college credits. Thanks for reading!!!
Well, DE English and AP Lit should probably be equivalent in difficulty, but the AP exam would allow you to show competency, so I would recommend you take Lit.
The problem is you won’t get AP scores back until long after college admission decisions have been made.
