Should I take AP or get a job?

I will be a junior in high school next year, and have the opportunity to take AP. I don't have a job or after school activities, so I have plenty of free time. This will be my first time taking an "Advanced" class, besides the fact that I took Honors World History and passed with a B. My parents are pushing me to take more advanced classes, since they feel I am not being pushed hard enough in school (which is true, things come easily to me). Anyway, next year I'm taking:
AP English (got a high B in it my freshman year, and an A this year)
AP Psychology (took the intro course, and it's very interesting.
What do you guys think? Should I take more? Or get a job?
And please justify your opinion. Thanks.

according to me u should take more APs…

and try to get a job also if u can…

Can you please say why? Thanks.

becuz APs will increase ur chances of getting admission in a university…

Personally, I would get a job.

Not knowing much about you, going from 0 AP courses to 3 can be a disastrous experience and can hurt your gpa. AP courses and honors courses are usually not comparable (at least where I’m from). I would advise to take more AP courses during your senior year instead - if you feel you could handle with those two junior year.

Taking three APs and a job would look excellent but warn that you should take on the challenge only if you are absolutely sure you can maintain your grades.

You also state that you have no afterschool activities, etc… IMO, it is important to show that you are a well-rounded person - not only to colleges but to everyone else. I personally wouldn’t want to be known for being the guy who has no life and spends it by studying all day.

Junior year was the first time I took AP classes (5) and the first year I had a job. First semester was horrible. I would get off of work and at home around 8 and then begin hours of homework and to be honest it was worth it. Second semester I quit my job and I focused on my grades. It was hard but I was used to it because of dance practices from Freshman and Sophomore year (would get home at 10) but I realized I don’t want to always have to rush and have little sleep. My advice is find a middle. Don’t short yourself out by taking no AP classes but take the amount you can balance with work. Next year I’m taking three AP classes and working. A balance that I can tolerate while having fun senior year.

Thanks guys. And I was going from zero to two AP classes, not three. I heard AP psych was easy and it seem interesting, and my English teacher recommended me to AP English.
