Should I take AP Psych?

I’m planning to take these courses next year for my senior year:
-Honors Gov
-Personal Fitness (required)
-AP Spanish
-Calc 2
-AP Lit
-AP Environmental Science
-AP Psych

I definitely overextended myself junior year (I’m taking 5 AP courses- APUSH, AP Physics, AP Calc AB, AP Lang, AP Micro) and don’t want to repeat the same mistake this year. Should I just take Honors Psych instead? I want to have time for college applications.

Or should I take AP Psych and switch out AP Lit in favor for an Honors English class since I already took AP Lang? I enjoy english class and was thinking about becoming an English major (but I’m still undecided since many people say it’s hard to do anything with an English degree besides teaching).

Last year you took what I wuold consider 4 very hard AP classes (plus one not so hard one).
THis year you are planning 2 hard ones and 2 easier ones.

For science, have you taken Bio, chem and pHysics already?

English is an excellent major, especially if you can add a non fiction writing/professional writing minor. It teaches you how to read quickly and synthesize, how to write clearly. In any case a major doesn’t lead directly to a job unless it’s vocational (engineering, nursing, teaching). What leads to a job is your ability to apply and optimize your skills through internships.
This time, you have 5 AP/Equivalent (Calc2=Calc BC), with 3 hard APs and 2 easy ones. I think that’s a good schedule but if you feel that Honors Psych would be easier, AP Psych v. Honors Psych WILL NOT make a difference in how your schedule is evaluated by adcoms, so it’d be the easiest class to switch.

I’ve taken Honors Bio and Chem sophomore year and am currently taking AP Physics my junior year, why are you asking?

Because all 3 should be taken before APES.
You’re good on that account.
