SHOULD I TAKE AP US HISTORY

hey there,
So next year will be my junior year in highschool and i figured it is necessary for me to take some ap courses so i can stand out a bit.
I have never taken an ap course before and next year i will be taking two. Im really scared about ap us history as its supposed to be the hardest one out there and the teacher who teaches it doesnt have the best comments about her. So i dont know what to do. Should i just take one ap course next year(ap computer sci) and leave the rest and honors or should i take both.

Take both if you want to be in a competitive college. You can teach yourself to pass the APUSH exam if you have to.

how many APs does your HS offer? Are there others you could take? I am an AP teacher (APUSH, Euro and world) I actually think AP is the easiest of the 3, b/c it is the most concrete. 95% of the students who take it at my school are sophomores… but our state requires US history in 10th grade - so that’s where it gets slotted (Juniors take AP Gov). What is your other planned AP course? Sometimes it works well to do things that kind of flow together - AP history and English, AP Math and science - you get the idea

APUSH honestly isn’t that difficult. It certainly isn’t one of the most difficult APs–you’ll be fine.

Hi i know this is a late responde but im taking ap comp sci principles with the ap us history. Im worried because this will be my first two and im planning to take 3 more on senior year. Im not sure if thats enought to get into Ga Tech. My friend tells me their is no way im makig it with only 5 aps
