should i take AP's?

so yea i'm a senior in all IB classes w/ major senioritis. i've already decided to go to duke and sent in all my stuff yada yada yada. the problem is when I registered for AP's i was almost dead set on going to UNC Chapel Hill, which offers a lot of credit for AP's. So, i registered for 4 exams (English Lit, World History, Psych, Spanish) Duke offers credit for 2 classes (AP and IB scores combined) and i already have two AP scores from last year that give me that credit (Comp. Sci A, US History). I'm not going to study for AP's, just going to focus on IB exams. I don't have an issue w/ taking an AP course and not taking the exam cuz I haven't taken any AP classes, just the IB versions, and i'm testing in all of those.

sooooo the big question is: should I cancel registration for those AP's? or should I just go ahead and take them w/o studying? will it look bad if i get like a 2 on w. history and spanish?

bumppppppppp

as a fellow senior with senioritis, i say cancel (if you can get a refund). you're in college, you're ready for duke, and it's not like you're completely bailing on your tests. you're still taking your IBs, after all.

best of luck!

pluss it'll only look bad to you if you get a 2, no one else has to know about it...so if you're not worried about bruising your academic ego..(haha)..go for it!

ha ha true. i don't get a refund since my school district and not me pays for any AP exams we take. i have to pay $10 to cancel per test though. i'm putting more time and thought into whether i should take the AP's than i would studying for them if I was to take them lol.
