Should I take Physics or AP Biology or Both in my senior year in high school?

Hi,
I am currently junior in high school and everyone is trying to schedule classes for next year.
I already have all requirements for regular diploma except half semester of PE.

I’m not sure if I will have enough time to do both courses, but I was just wondering which ONE?

Thanks.

What classes are you taking and what colleges are you aiming for?

If you want to do premed or go to medical school in general, you will need both those classes, so take them. If you are choosing one or the other, certainly bio; however, we do not know what you want to do in the future.

Have you taken any physics course yet? Selective colleges prefer to see a year each of bio, chem, and physics. If you have not yet taken a physics course, that should have priority over AP bio.

I also have an anecdote: a kid I know didn’t care much one way or the other for bio and hated chem. Figured she just didn’t like science. This kid is now taking physics and unexpectedly loves it to the point of considering minoring or majoring in it in college.

I was planning to take physics this year, however, the class was already fill-up before I could sign-up.
But, I will do everything to get at least physics done upcoming school year. In term of a career, I am going for computer engineering or something related to technology.

If you want to go into any kind of engineering, you will need to take physics in college. It will be more difficult if you have not had a high school level physics course.
