Should I take the ACTs?

I've never really thought about taking the ACTs at all until recently when my guidance counseler recommended me to. I had gotten a 30 out of 32 on the PLAN (PLAN is to ACT as PSAT is to SAT) test September of last year without studying (whereas I crammed for the PSATs) and got like a 32 on the science section that I thought I had done terrible on.

I've got a lot of things slated though, various SAT IIs in January, May, and June, and the SAT I in March, so I don't know if it's a good idea to commit time to studying for the ACT.

...bump? ...

Yes. If you do poorly, colleges will never know because you get to choose whether to send it or not. If I were you, I'd take it in June. Even if you don't study you should still take it, consider thePLAN scores you got. Really, it could be well worth your while.

That is, unless you're amazing at the SAT.

im done with all my tests (never considered ACT, i was always a SAT person), but do colleges have any preferance or bias?
