Should I take the AP Chem exam?

As the title implies, should I take this exam? What would the benefits be?
I intend to be a science/ chem related major next year (I'm a senior) and I've heard that I'm gonna have to retake intro Chem anyway, so I really see no point.
Also, I have not learned much up to this point in the class, as my teacher is not great. I could start to really buckle down now and study by myself much more often, but I'm just wondering it this would be worth the effort!
Thanks

I don’t think it’s worth the $89 when you have to retake the class. If you were a junior my answer would be different, because a good score would help with admission and could help you get AP Scholar awards. But as a senior neither of those things matter, so I would just forego the exam.

If you get a 5 on the exam, some colleges let you skip up to two classes, and jump right into O-chem.

But honestly though even if I do study hard and recieve a 5 (which only one student in our schools history has done… He was accepted to Harvard) I feel like I still wouldn’t thoroughly understand the material enough. This is important since my potential major is chem engineering… What do you think?

Bump! :)

Bump???

Not to be annoying, but bump?
