Should I Take the Math 2 Subject Test?

Hello,
I am a rising senior in high school and am planning to take my SAT2s in the fall. I know for sure that I want to take the Literature test, but I don’t know about my second pick.

My regular SAT scores are playing a big role in my indecisiveness. I took the “old” SAT 3 times (the last 3 times it was offered) and my highest scores were CR: 800, WR: 800, and M: 670. This was in one sitting as well, so I can’t super score. My math score is really disappointing to me, and I’m worried that for the types of competitive colleges I’m interested in, it will bring down my application. I’ve struggled with math in the past; struggled as in feared it because I’ve always thought that math was my weakest subject. But it seems to make sense that I should take the Math SAT2 so as to show colleges that I can do math (no Math 1 because if I’m going for a math test, I might as well go the whole way). However, how can I score well on the Math 2 test if I’ve never even broken 700 on the SAT itself? And is taking the Math 2 test the right and only way to fulfill my concerns?

Additional info: I’ve just finished taking Calculus BC my junior year, after taking trigonometry in 10th and geometry in 9th. I took Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 in 7th and 8th grade respectively. I got a 4 on the AP Calc BC test, with a 4 on the AB subscore.

Thanks in advance!
