This doesn’t really fall under any forum, but I can’t decide!! The problem is that I do not want to take all 3 in May, which is right after weeks of finals (my physics teacher gives us 9 finals) and two days before the AP Chem exam, 3 days before the AP Physics. I think I will be at my peak for physics because of all the practice my teacher is giving us, but the physics subject test has a few topics that we have not covered in class.
My first option would be to take math 2 and physics in May, then chemistry in June. The cons of this is that I’d have to learn information that I do not need on the ap physics exam right before ap tests.
Second, take math 2 and chem in May and physics in June. But, in June I won’t be at my best for physics.
I took a practice test and I got about the same in both. We are learning magnetism in class soon so if I went into the practice tests with that knowledge I would’ve gotten a higher score on the physics subject test.
I am planning to be a future physics major so that one is more important though.
Both subject tests are formatted quite differently and have a material that isn’t really tested on the AP.
But, I don’t want to take all 3 in June because I don’t want to memorize so many things and have to be under so much stress for 3 hours.
I re-thought the situation, and I might just do chem in May and the others in June? Considering the other 2 are the tests that have material that I know won’t be on the AP tests.
If you have command of the material as well as good study, test taking, and time management skills, taking 2 or all three may make you energized enough to keep going. Sorta like being in fully goes it driving a large by distance. You can decompress and sleep later… Not when you are driving. Think about how you do taking 3 tests on one day. You might prefer to hear up only one if you think you could earn decent scores. For myself, doing all three would save time energy and worry if I was confident that my scores would be decent and probably not so different from those I would earn over 2 or 3 day testing.
Take math in May and physics and chemistry in June. You’re not going to forget everything in one month and math is going to be less of a study subject and more of everything you already know. That lets you focus on APs in May.
