I'm a Sophmore this year and I was wondering if I should take the PSAT this year. Does it count for anything in 10th grade? If I score low, will it affect anything later on?

It’s meaningless before your junior year. The only thing it can affect is if you apply for summer programs, but most of the important ones are junior only and such. Go for it.

Just take it. it’s a total freebie as far as “counting” but it’s a great way to practice for the real thing.

Why not? You have nothing to lose…so go for it. My school requires incoming freshmen (@ end of 8th grade for class placement) and in sophomore year to take the PSAT in preparation for the actual test in junior year.

without a doubt! It is great practice
