Only a few of the colleges I am even thinking of applying to require SAT subject tests if I send in my ACT report. I was planning on taking subject tests in U.S. history, literature and math 2 this October so that I could apply to schools like Georgetown and Cornell which require SAT2s.

I was not going to send in any SAT 1 scores. When I took the SAT I got a 670 CR, 680 M, 720 W for a total of a 2070. When I took the ACT I got a 31 which is supposedly higher.

BUT now I am thinking of forgoing that SAT subject tests and giving the SAT another shot because I don't think I will do very well on subject tests and because I might do better on the SAT.

Is this a good idea? Obviously, I'll have to scratch schools like Cornell and Georgetown off my list, but if I can increase my chances at other schools I am okay with doing that.

Suggestions? I really don't know what to do. I wish there were more testing dates!
