Should I take SAT or SAT Subject Tests?

<p>Already took the ACT, composite score: 29, on timed practices I've gotten a 32 so I know I can improve, but the next ACT is too far I think, so I want to try the SAT.</p>

<p>IDK if I should take the SAT or the Subject Tests though, what do you guys think? Sorry I'm a novice when it comes to the SAT, in Illinois, my high school at least, we were raised on the ACT.</p>

<p>Anyhow my GPA is 4.2 and I need a stellar test score to get me competitive for prominent/Ivy League schools since I have a lot of E.C.s good recs + essays too.</p>

<p>My suggestion would be to take the SAT IIs, and submit them along with your ACT score. Most colleges prefer either the SAT or ACT, plus SAT a couple of SAT IIs in something relating to your potential major.</p>
