Hello,
Here is my line of thinking. I want to go to Brown University. They say SAT Reasoning and 2 subject tests or ACT +writing. I was going to take the ACT, because

Ive already taken the SAT reasoning
I might do better on it than the SAT Reasoning, so it might be better and I won't have to pay for 2 subject tests
but the wording might mean that I should take the Subject Tests
It would be easier to study for the ACT (there is no way to study for subject tests)
but I'm confused on the wording. Could I submit my SAT reasoning and ACT, and they wouldn't need subject tests?

PS- Is it true that some people take Adderall for these tests? Do you? Should I ?

T’HEELL?! don’t take anything! Just eat some healthy and RELAX… srsly man…
You don’t any “artificial” thing to make you focused. This is for ppl who NEED it. Not paranoid teenagers who are “too anxious” or afraid… If a doctor didn’t prescribe such for you, as in you are not medically “in need of it”, DON’T RUIN YOURSELF FOR A ****IN EXAM! Just know that you can ace this… It’s really ok…
Just remember to breathe, and you’re good.
I am serious; this is deadly, and I am NOT OVERREACTING ALRIGHTS?!
to answer your question, no, i don’t think a smart student would EVER do such a thing. And you shouldn’t either.
God… what pressure does to us sometimes…

Do you take Adderall every day? If so, it would be stupid not to take it before a standardized test. If not, it would be both stupid and criminal to take an amphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance, for a standardized test.

^ I don’t think he does… His manner of asking the question makes it very clear…
@college158, plz don’t make some stupid mistake because you heard that others have…
This would be dumb and just pathetic. Do not underestimate yourself and Do YOUR BEST. and you will ace the test, believe me. Instead of ending up obliged to depend on this **** ur entire life to keep you “focused”, and it will be this huge mess that is almost impossible to get yourself out of…
Sorry for freaking out on you, lol…
I hope now you won’t even think of that again XD

No, I don’t think so, either. The question was really rhetorical. I was trying to find a polite way of saying, “That’s about the stupidest [expletive deleted] idea I’ve ever heard.”

^ HAHAHAHAHA… I know actually, but I didn’t want him/her to find a way out of it you know. LOL

I think you should have totally said your latter comment first though… good one lol

I wasn’t planning on it, but someone offered me some. Anyway, neither of you answered my question about the ACT or Sat sub tests?

I don’t have any advice one way or the other about whether you should take SAT subject tests or ACT.

But you have read the instructions correctly. If you submit ACT with writing, you do not have to submit SAT subject test scores at all. If you like your SAT scores and want to submit them and not an ACT score, then you’ll need to submit subject test scores, too.
