Should I take the SAT three times?

Hi,

I am in my senior year and on October 10th I am scheduled to take the SAT Reasoning Test again. This will be my second shot at it. Problem is though that I haven't had a chance to properly prepare for it. Right now after my first try I have a score of 1910 (650 Reading, 600 Math, 660 Writing). My main goal is to increase my Math score but after taking a practice test I do not feel like I will increase it by a lot which would mean that I will have to take it again in November when I've had one more month to prepare. That would make it my third shot at it.

So my question is, should I reschedule my October SAT to the November one and that way I will have taken the SAT two times or should I take the October SAT and then also take the November SAT which would make it my third time?

Thanks in advance!

P.S. I am planning on applying to a few colleges with Early Action.

I think you should probably switch it to November. A one month span between the official SAT tests won’t show any significant improvement. In my opinion, it’d be best to just keep studying until November. The October SAT won’t help if you plan on doing the November SAT as well (that is, unless you end up doing worse but that’s unlikely).
As for the Math, try to figure out what you’re missing often. Is it careless mistakes? Is it a specific concept? Reducing the amount of careless mistakes is simply a matter of endurance and practice. If it’s a concept, try looking over them and focus on those questions in particular. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply! I have a question about that though, if I apply to rolling admissions schools right now and do early action will they be able to take my November SAT score into account or does that vary from school to school?
