Should I take the World History test?

I'm in an honors World History course and have a 93 for my average. The course seems extensive enough, starting at Prehistory in September advancing towards the Middle Ages, where we are now. Do you think I should take the SAT II?
Oh, and which books are the best? I hear SparkNotes helps, but do you guys have any other suggestions?

yes, if your class covers the entire course of world history. But since it's not ap, you probably have to do quite a bit of studying. I would recommend barrons.

I was in a normal world history class. I read Barrons and got a 730. Barrons is great for it, had I studied a bit more I could have easily gotten an 800.

I took an acclerated World History course in 9th grade and Euro AP in 10th grade (currently Junior), and I just all the practice questions right on the test. Ironically, I just bombed the US questions.... (currently taking AP US).

I don't know about the subject test, but AP world history goes way past the middle ages.

Is there anything really specific on the test (such as the orders of Egyptian rulers in the old kingdom or something?) or is it just general/broad questions?

im in ap world and for the ap exam you dont have to know specific dates just periodization and chronological order but i heard for the subject test you have to know exact dates and people..is that true?

yeah, id like to know about this too. If the people who have taken the test, are allowed to let us know, what types of question do they ask? Is it like: Who invaded the Sumerians?

Or is it like: Which of these characteristics does not describe the Song Dynasty?

Do they ask for specifics? Or general?

Im talking do we need to know years and the details in barrons? Or just a broad overview (of course no the rulers and the years in general)

bump...........
