World History Subject Test

Hey everyone!

I was thinking of taking the subject test for world history in December. I haven't taken any AP class for it. Would it be a good idea to take it if I study Barrons or Kaplan?

Barrons worked pretty well. Practice the document based questions. Best of luck!

Sorry for the late reply, but thanks! What is an ideal length of time to study for it?

Hey ,

I am taking World History and I have not taken AP class as well.I bought Barron’s and have been studying for a while.I think you should start as soon as you can because the book is lengthy. But do not get intimidated , so much of the details in the book are too much, which means that you should not memorize everything mentioned. But you should make sure you know the names well, people’s names or names for certain objects and techniques in old civilizations or so.My advice would be as you study write the names with their meaning or achievement in a separate notebook so you could take a look at them without going back to the book. Also make sure you know the chronological order well.It might seems a bit scary at the beginning but it is truly significant for anyone to know that information about how the world evolved to it’s current state.

Good luck and if you need anything do not hesitate to ask :)
