should i take UGBA 10?

I'm going to be a freshman at UC berkeley in the fall this year...and originally i intended to sign up for Econ 1, but the class ended up being too full and conflicted with some of my other classes. So instead, i signed up for UGBA 10 (which i assume is similar to econ 1?!).

My other classes are:
math 16a
stats 20
asian studies 10

And i would say my past experience with econ would be only from the macro/micro ap tests, and i got 5's on both tests, but i'm afraid that UGBA may be too competitive and intimidating for an incoming freshman.

ANY ADVICE???

woah we’re like the same person. im taking math16a, stats21, and 2 breadth requirements. im leaving econ 1 and ugba10 for sophomore year but i have friends who are doin git now too. i can’t say anything for its difficulty but i know its a good predictor of whether im going into pre-haas or just econ if that helps at all. the advisor said we basically just go through5 modules/simulations in that class, like marketing, strategy, finance, or something like that…

UGBA10 is your stereotypical weeder course. The material is simple, but the grading is extremely competitive. Attendance is tracked closely and is a large portion of your grades. You will not get excused for anything, whether it be a conflicting class, medical emergency, etc.

It’s basically a class to acclimate intended business majors to the realities of business. If that’s not precisely your goal, look for another class.
