I am currently a junior getting my Bachelors of Science in Art. I first did 2 years of community college & just transferred to a high rank state university. Problem is I don't like it here. I wasn't to fond of it in the beginning but really wanted to like it so I stuck out the first term, but after these last 3 months I'm still not enjoying it. I love to learn and study and always looked forward to my classes the last two years, but here I simply don't enjoy it at all. I thought maybe I was just homesick, but honestly it isn't that I want to be home, I just don't want to be here. I feel like the thought of transferring has kind of slowly crept up on me because I wanted so much to love it here I just ignored that it wasn't right. Now I am in the middle of finals week and am not sure If I should continue the next term or not.
So should I transfer already?
If so I would be transferring to a university closer to home that is still good, albeit not as prestigious. Also there is always the potential that I would have to take a term off if I don't get my paperwork processed in time.

There is nothing wrong with taking a term off if it means you will be happier and do better at the other place.
