Should I transfer?

I am currently enrolled in a top LAC with 3.9+ GPA (Sophomore).
I like the school, but I am a bit worried about the prestige and after-graduation-opportunities available, as compared to Ivy leagues (I am pretty sure that I will like those schools too). Do you think transferring a viable option if you have to pay say 20K extra if you choose to go to an IVY (say brown, dartmouth, Penn)?

Thanks for any input.

It is just plain stupid to pay 20k more for an IVY diploma when you have a 3.9+ where you are, and you are already happy there. You know what it takes to have this GPA at your school. Keep up the good work, and save the money for a good used car when you graduate.

Or save the money for graduate school. Don't mess with success!

You're obviously doing well and like where you are...and with that GPA...you can make opportunities happen for you. In this day...save the extra 20K. My loan repayment notices are coming in...and it makes me cringe.

I transferred to Cornell....I got the academic challenge and opportunities not provided by my first college...but I was too burned out to start medical school right out of college. In that respect...I don't think it was worth it.

if your really at a top LAC, and by top like top 10 you should stay no matter what. Besides that, I would still recommend not even thinking of tranferring with your grades soley for the reason you speak of. Apply maybe, but strongly consider before actually doing
