APES is mostly just about the theory, so getting a book is fine, but make sure it’s not an AP test practice book, make sure its actualy like a textbook.

“If they are classes- (0-4 scale of difficulty)
Micro Econ- 0
Macro Econ- 1.5
Gov- 3
Environmental science- 0
Human Geo- 0
Calc AB- 0”

I would disagree completely with gov being a 3/4 in difficulty and calc being a 0/4. In my gov class he gave us an old mc exam on the first day just to see how much we knew already and I already did well enough to pass. For AP calc I worked on homework for it every night for several hours. For gov I spent maybe an hour a week. I studied really hard for a 4 in AP calc, but got a 5 on AP gov with minimal studying. I’m not really interested in politics, either, I’m a chemistry major. I don’t see why people think APUSH is so hard either, I got a 5 in that without studying much at all (though more than I did for gov).

Human Geo was definitely the easiest, I got a 4 in it freshman year.
I can’t speak on macro/micro or environmental science as none of those were offered at my high school. Neither was Calc BC, for that matter.

I was a National AP Scholar but I don’t see that that actually helped me with anything, and I wasn’t aiming for it. I’d say go for it only if you’re genuinely interested in the classes. I did it because I would have been bored with anything less than a schedule full of AP’s.

Colleges won’t see your national ap scholar award cause they aren’t awarded until after july. Also, even if you take all those AP classes, they’ll just take that into consideration under “senior year course difficulty,” you wont be able to put national ap scholar award down on your apps because collegeboard wont have given you that award yet.

It realy depends I think, on the type of person you are.
